UBS Raises PayU Valuation To $4.2 Billion as Fintech Multiples Expand

UBS has increased its valuation of Prosus’s payments arm PayU to €3.9 billion ($4.2 billion) from €3.5 billion, driven by higher trading multiples among global payment peers. The investment bank values PayU at a 30% discount to global peers’ FY25 revenue multiples to reflect varying growth profiles and historical regulatory challenges in India, it said in a note to clients.
